500 Mile Journey

500 Mile  Journey with  Kerry and Jean  Let's Get Walking!  Progress Report Week 11 We did it!!  100 miles walked.  We took ourselves to the beach, at Fort Bragg Ca.  Where each morning it was foggy until 10 a. m. and the high temperature were in the 70's . 500 Mile  Journey with  Kerry and Jean  Let's Get Walking!  We did it!! 100 miles walking.  We thought that we should do something big for this milestone.  It has been so hot here that we decided we needed to go to the beach.  We went to Ft. Bragg, CA.  On our first night we found this wonderful Italian restaurant.  It was the perfect place to celebrate and open our gift.         For reaching 100 miles we each got a key chain with little walking shoes.  It was a great trip and we stayed 3 days at the beach.  More pictures of our adventure to come.  Lets Get Walking, Kerry and Jean

The air has been hot and heavy with smoke. We went up to Twin Falls thinking  we would do some hiking by the canyon ridge, but it was 100 degrees there too! We have not walked much since 4th of July. 500 Mile Walking Journey with  Kerry and Jean  Happy 4th of July We hope you enjoyed the 4th with your  family and friends.  Jean and Kerry ready to do the  Freedom Run 5K  We made it to our 75 miles milestone  doing the 5K walk at the Spring Creek Marina  on 4th of July morning.  What a wonderful morning here in Nevada.  We registered, put our numbers on, and watched the flag ceremony  before the race began at 7:30. 500 Mile Walking Journey with Kerry and Jean  Let's get walking!! We are celebrating our 50 Miles of walking!! We made our second milestone of walking 50 miles. Here's our song  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BmPFioq1l6o We cerebrated our 50 miles with our daughter Sarah and our grandson James.  We started the day by hiking a short 1/2 trail at Hanging Valley in Lamoille, Nv.   and then on to lunch at the Power House picnic area.  Medals Kerry medal says," All Glory Comes From Daring To Begin." Eugen Ware  Jean's medal says, " Nothing is worth more than this day."
